Did you grow a ft taller?

Don’t you know everything is bigger in the US?

Got them home, rinsed them, which brought them up an inch, then took them back to be hemmed as per best practice :-) They were 36" to begin with.

My belly certainly is as those lovely Warehouse's are now a bit snug!

I think it is also a reaction to the ludicrous lightweight fashion denim my other half buys. It is so light and flimsy the dogs have ripped through her nearly new jeans on a few occasions.
I think Iron Heart often chose fabrics and dyes that predisposed to fading well, but they also have some designed to not fade too. I also quite like the way the rapha jeans don't fade (though I have worn through a few pairs now).

got a link for those?

Faded pair: https://www.sonofastag.com/products/warehouse-1939-montgomery-ward-jeans
Non-faded pair: https://clutch-cafe.com/products/warehouse-lot-700c-denim-jean
You'll only find each pair at SOAS and Clutch respectively. The latter were only 50 pairs so only a 34 and 40" left... The former are mostly sold out. Without a doubt my favourite pair of jeans ever. Here's the back.

They're nice. Before I had a house and kids I would've have had a hard time not getting them. Now I'm lusting for a cordless vacuum cleaner instead. Hi middle age.

I always wanted a pair of Warehouse but you couldn't get them in London back in the late 90s... My mate had a pair that were so heavy and beautiful, they ticked all my boxes at the time... He even got a tailor mate in Japan to stitch the Levi's arcuate on the pockets for him, they looked absolutely terrific...
He makes his own selvage jeans now!

Well, when you do, you'll be happy you did :-)
@teenslain - I cannot wait for this hot, dank, humid New York summer to end so that I can wear them again. Really under appreciated brand in the 'denim community' IMO. They just know denim so, so well. Definitely one of the only companies who make, what I consider to be, natural, vintage-esque fades. None of the overly ridiculous fades you get from some brands like this which just look so awful to me.
I've a lovely pair of ecru natural Warehouse 800s in my wardrobe that don't get worn nearly enough, too...

With all of that said... not denim, but I'm actually most looking forward to the weather getting colder so I can wear these dynamite Engineered Garments cords' that I got this week. Waiting in my wardrobe just staring at me:

I've got a couple pairs of https://thosti.nyc/ in Bedford Cord waiting for the cool down, though I may have them tapered, 'cause they're wiiiide.

Does anyone know a reputable place I can get a pair of jeans tapered? oh I'm London based.

Just wanted to say I spent a leisurely 40 odd mins in son of a stag last week, trying on several pairs of jeans, whilst chatting with the owner as he pulled out various options for me.
Most enjoyable clothes shopping experience I’ve had in a while. Particularly liked the spellbound denim pair I tried first. Incredibly soft and a great fit. Too rich for my blood though.
Ended up with some Edwin’s which fit the bill though.. -

Love a trip to SOAS... Rudy is such a nice guy and has always got time for a chat... can be a tad expensive but the clothes are always top notch

Got some great new Warehouse Duck Digger 1001XX's from Clutch Cafe. Hemmed and shipped yesterday from London, turned up today in New York. Fit is spot on for a pair of 1947s. First time I've purchased without trying on in a decade, but Scott at Clutch was, as always, very helpful with figuring out measurements.
Currently look like this:
Hoping they eventually look like this:
My love for Warehouse, their fit and denim continues to grow...

what's with their inseam 31.5, super short.
-
• #3372
That’s the look for that era, no?
-
• #3373
Yeah. Post war austerity measures meant Levi's still had to be conservative with the use of cotton and other raw materials, so they weren't 36" outta the factory. I believe they were all measured at 34".
These Warehouse's would've been 34" too but they lose 2.5" in their factory wash.
I had them hemmed to 29" anyway.

My inseam is 35! My ankles would get cold...
I understand Levi's but I think they would find more cotton for those with long legs.

Tried out the SoS repair service. Lovely people, and pretty pleased with the repair. Most of all though the reinforcement is top notch, so hopefully I'll be able to get a decent amount of life from them.
