  • Suburban pub bores

  • They are but I kinda felt sorry for the 'Captain', I haven't touched that one in an eternity either... That hairy bloke, same feelings as that cunt off the Pedal Show...

  • Also shit... Bass player dude is just about OK but that other knob is fucking useless...

    IMVHO, obvs...

  • Not a Tera Melos fan then I take it?

    Tera Melos

  • Not a fan... I'm just an irrelevant old guy anyway, no one cares what I think!!!

    And quite right too... 😊

  • The only pedal show worth watching

    is knobs.

  • I’m conflicted about TPS. Annoying personality traits aside, in their favour there is now a generation of amateur guitarists that knows which order to put their pedals in, how to combine gain pedals etc. On the other hand, they also think that the minute tonal differences between Tubescreamer clones should be pondered endlessly as if they’re fine wines (or track frames). I don’t have the patience to watch an hour of that.

I enjoyed their interview with Graeme Coxon, because he wrong-footed them completely. They were chewing their knuckles off when he explained how he got his sound in the early days - essentially ‘Someone gave me a Rat and it was ok, but it wasn’t loud enough so I added another one’. Then he explained how he played the solos on Coffee & TV - basically just smash it a bit and bend the strings until it’s in tune (a la Ira Kaplan), stomp on pedals at random. More staring at their laps, and realising that their carefully curated gear choices count for naught.

  • yeah yeah whatevs. let's all just stop for a moment and appreciate Mr Larry fkn Graham who im pretty sure got by without any pedal noise fuckery whatsoever.

  • I can just never get my head around there fact that Larry Graham is Drake's uncle.

  • A cornucopia of cool. What a vid. What a dude.

  • Thanks for the offer, but that does look a bit too plasticky for my tastes. Probably a very sensible solution though. But sensible isn't always the thing, is it?

  • Suburban pub bores

True. They've just put up a video with Tommy Emmanuel though, who is great as per.

  • Nope. Pedaltrains look a lot better.

  • I’ve just built my first pedal board.
I went pedaltrain metro 20 with T-Rex fuel tank jr for power. The T-Rex straps snuggly to the underside of the board.
Loads of fun but I don’t know what I’m doing and I’ve spent hours watching those idiots on YouTube.

  • Found a Fender USA B-bender on Reverb (and in Oz!) for only AU$2,200 or make an offer... Think I'll offer $1,800 and see how we go... Pay day tomorrow... 🎶🙄

  • Good luck squire. My body arrived today - looks even nicer in the flesh! MJT get my full seal of approval. Light too.

  • Late Tele tuesdays. Picked this up today. Whoever owned it before gave it a good ragging, but it plays great.

  • Me too, his voice is oddly compelling.
