I can never upload photos to lfgss anymore, so here's a link to an old pic when I was restringing it. I installed one single sized humbucker with a series/split/parallel switch.
I also left it unpainted after my kid knocked it over a thousand times. It plays beautiful, it was just what I wanted! -

Yeah - they're really intimidating - especially around the guitar's horns... I've started using a robosander for most shaping on my latest - much more sedate!

I find him a bit creepy, I do enjoy his content tho' I've never used one of his pedals...

I don't know, I love that sound too... How about the guitar sound on Citadel?!? That's my #1 60s Keef guitar sound, love it... That weird clanging delayed harmonic gets me every time...

I'm not sure it meets your "doesn't look dreadful" criteria but I've got a Boss BCB-60 that I bought second hand last year then realised wouldn't really work once I got Line 6 DL4.
It has a power supply, a good daisy chain power thing, and a lot of things you can use to organise pedals properly, especially if they're standard Boss size pedals.

Can't stand That Pedal Show blokes. I'm sure they're lovely people but man they are so fucking boring. And I hate their playing. And Dan's inability to speak. The pauses while he grapples bfor the word that's gone out of his head are excruciating. Plus the over emoting, gushing over guests and that fucking honker....
