What time is it? Watches and horology

IMHO while Bulova's moonwatch didn't go to the moon until two years after the Speedy, Bulova have a much stronger link to space travel than Omega.

All timekeeping instruments, including instrument-panel clocks, aboard NASA’s manned AND unmanned spacecraft missions leading up to and including the Apollo programme were manufactured by Bulova. Omega just provided wrist jewelry for the astronauts.

Never said that Bulova make better watches...just that they were actually involved in putting man on the moon on a technical level. You have to admit, that is pretty compelling!

There’s a Seamaster 1948 in Terminal 3, should anyone want one (small seconds).

Omega have released an ultra light sports watch and it looks nice. The price is quite high for a sports watch though at £37,240. Even a Series 4 Apple Watch is cheaper.

I'm hoping for that price thats not the only strap it comes with?! Light on the wrist, heavy on the wallet. Not my cup of tea.

I just wish Omega would start using photos on their web site and not weird renders.

Trying to make a flying tourbillon with my 3d printer.

Just need some 2mm steels for axles and we should be good to go. Hopefully arriving tomorrow.

They all use renders, the only difference is how good they are.

The calibre itself is pretty interesting, the watch is fugly atmo.

Pondering moving this on, SRPC15, the Japanese made version. £120 or so fair? One on eBay for £200. Swap for a diver.
