If we're getting into a commuter race, it's bad form to run reds.
-
• #27578
Well, it results in automatic disqualification.

leant over too far on a cobbled corner and my underinflated silly balloon tyre squidged v unnervingly on the edge of a cobble, nearly sending me right over onto my face.
never lean.

Seen a bad crash at shoreditch today outside the sainsburies where the pedestrian crossing overlaps the cycle path. A guy going far too fast on a Santander bike crashed into a cyclist coming the other way

Haha good made me larf (the Disney toon that is)

Did the riders seem injured? If so, do you want to start a 'Rider down' thread about it?
-

It looked like they both got up eventually, but it did look like a bad one
Santander cyclist was going far too fast on what is a really busy crossing point down the CS1 with plenty of cyclists and pedestrians about

Thanks. I hope they're OK and that they swapped details at least. As is well known, it's quite common for people to walk away from a crash high on adrenaline only to later discover that they actually did suffer injuries/damage to the bike.

I was at Tottenham Court Rd so pretty close. No TT bars but there couldn't be more than one like this? (probs is)

Bromptoneer in ski goggles and pollution mask, looked a bit apocalyptic.

More than anything i want to see that now. Preferably fully mad maxxed up riding up the high street.

Ski goggles also seen last time: lady on e-city-bike, from behind everything looked normal, wasn't sure if I should try to pass or not, but when I passed her and looked who's cycling here I looked into big ski goggles.

Double commute this morning. Got to the office & found out that today's post, which should fit through the letter box, had to be signed for. Rinsed it back with my laptop to WFH after only fifteen minutes in the office. A bit gutted actually, as there's the conclusion to our Tekken 3 tournament in the office this afternoon.

Yesterday morning going up Terminus Rd/West hill in Brighton saw a guy coming down towards the station on a unicycle. Looked pretty pretentious but couldn't help but be impressed by the skills.

Do you work in heaven?

We were supposed to have a meeting in the pub at three o'clock too - which is a recipe for never going back to the office - but that got cancelled :(
I got knocked out of the tournament in the first round, sadly. Need to practice my combos more.

Please tell me he had his feet in air and was just blasting down laughing?
I would love to bomb down that hill if it was a closed road race but with the ped crossing, buses and taxis at the bottom it's just a bit terrifying. -
• #27596
Haha, nah just making sure everybody saw him.
Seemed to have a big-ish BMX style tyre on it, maybe he was heading down to the level... -

Anyone else see the Avengers rolling down OKR on old school BMX's this morning? Lots of mag wheels and Spiderman on what looked like a Mongoose was a strong look.

Stopped to pick up plastic bags and other mess to dump in the bins at work. There's plenty of "can't be bothered to use the bin" littering and windstrewn plastic on the way to work.
I grab a plastic bag in the bushes. It feels quite heavy, so I open it up and then find a new small electronic kitchen scale in a plastic bag.
Unusual...but i'll take it! Hopefully it still works, it looked dry and clean.

Tanita brand?
Around 6pm, cycled past ambo attending someone at the trapeze thing at Queens Gate, in Kensington Gdns, near Albert Monstrosity. Didn’t look good. Hope they’re ok.
