Edit: tried to post photo of person with horrifically long finger nails.

I struggle to believe anyone put those bars on and thought to themselves that this was exactly what their bike needed. It feels like a cry for help.

I've got them on my track bike in Switzerland - they're 3T Sphinx bars. Ugly as sin, but really good to use on track, as they give a range of extra hand positions.

I see, I thought you could spread the hate and put them in any old bars.

There were some good posts a while back about first builds. This was my premiere, circa 2009... where do you start? Antique saddle at a very questionable angle, gold half-link, sacrificial Peugeot road frame, original crankset hand-painted with Hammerite...
