Having been fine all week, Reggie managed to get his cone off when I went to the shops on Saturday, got the bandages off his leg and chewed out the stitches. There wasn’t enough skin to sew it back up, so we’re into weeks of gradual healing and 24 hour supervision. And big bucks, which is why I’m glad he’s insured. Putting money aside instead each month is fine, but not much use if you have a big bill in the first couple of years.
