Yeah the installed correctly part is important!
There's no denying a lot of people suffer from creaks with bb30. But the same can be said for all bb standards really.
Most of the time creaks come from a poor installation.
Not all bike shop mechanics are created equal.
I believe that if you want something done right then do it your self. Get a bearing press and take your time.
