Why use one when 5 will do?

There’s quite a bit of air between the 1 and 2 and the curve at the bottom left of the 2 is a bit unexpected, but basically it’s bloody lovely.

Hm, I think I’d be more kindly disposed to it (as a reference to their past supplying cases for Blancpain and others) if they hadn’t also released a ceramic Pepsi GMT “homage” this year.
On the whole I think it’s quite nice, not as nice as the throwback Masters they made with NOS bakelite bezels they found in a drawer.

Oh yeah, wow, those are nice. I am really coming around to them as a good alternative to Seiko's nicer diver's. Taking advantage of the weak pound/paying no VAT, they come out very attractively priced. Even cheaper than Gnomon.

The 1521 / 50 Atmos is fantastic but they ought to do more brushed / blasted finishes - the standard all-over high polish does it no favours.
There are some aspects of the similarly priced Seikos that are a bit fancier - like the bracelets, lume, and case finishing - and some that are a bit less impressive. The 2824-2 somehow feels a little nicer with its 4hz rate and the hand alignment is 100% perfect on the Squale, not so on all Seikos... not to mention the whole chapter ring / bezel lottery. The Squale definitely feels less mass-produced.

Definitely from a time when watchmakers didn't use Arial.

Is there another name/description for GMT watches? I’d like the functionality but almost everything that I find is a Pepsi Rolex (or copy).

“Dual time” or “second time zone” sometimes. Sinn call theirs “UTC”.

Grand Seiko have some nice ones, again they’re described as gmt but not at all rolex Pepsi like;

Working from my Mum's today so only right that I'm repping with Dad's watch after he shuffled off this mortal coil last year. It's too big for my wrist and it's certainly not fancy but I haven't worn it for a month or two but it feels nice.
Amazing how this sort of thing can evoke so much sentimentality and emotion. :)

Try searching for watches with an eta 2893-2 movement. It is common to many gmts

The only drawback is a 33mm diameter but as someone with twiggy wrists it’s OK.
I don’t really do numerals but that guys French pieces are lovely.
