Don’t panic, just belt it!

If in doubt buy one of these as spare...

I really doubt you will fuck it up though!
When refitting just make sure the notch is in the gap

I hear that there is new luggage coming in September? Any idea what it is? My partner is stealing my Brompton while she works away Mon-Fri and carrying stuff on the bike preferable to a rucsac. OF COURSE my bike has s-bars which for any decent size bag seems to involve buying expensive lugage and then chopping bits off it

T bag and cut the frame or order via sjs and I’ll swap the frame for the short one no problem
Nothing official to say “new” stuff is coming,
There will be a limited edition bike this year with some new stuff but I would buy a t bag rather than wait til that drops tbh

Damn, should have come to you first.
Just placed an order with you for other stuff (including a short frame :-)
Many Thanks

Smart!
A brommieplus rim would have looked beaut but more pricey!

Cheers! Yeah I did shop around but didn't spot those, saw the kinlin nbr but seem to recall it mentioned needing narrow tyres... And there was a carbon rim somewhere on ebay for £100 or so. Did want black braking surface.
The rim I went for was the hub gear version I think, with angled spoke holes. Thought that'd be preferable to the regular one considering the angle they'd be at...
-
• #7112
Yeah a good option as the hub is wider for Sure

What’s the fork?
-
• #7114
It's a Kinetics one. Got it from ebay a few months ago for £7oish. Think it must've been fitted/used but is basically mint.

Good find.

What dura ace cranks have you gotnon there and whats the bb setup please? Interested in doing something similair on mine.
-
• #7117
Cheers! Just checked, they were £83.
@sacredhart they're 130bcd dura ace 7800 ht2 cranks. The BB is a sm-bb52. Needs a spacer or two on the drive side between BB shell and BB Cup.
Actually, the drive side crank is a 7800, left crank is a stages PM - 6800.
Frankly, it's a ridiculous bike, but I can't stop dicking about with it 🤷♂️
Edit - I've got a set of 130bcd ultegra ht2 cranks, they're 172.5mm. Had them fitted to the Brompton before I decided to stick the power meter on (which is 175mm). They're a bit scratched and I filed the lips for the little ring down a bit to ensure it didn't foul the Brompton chainstay.

If anyone else ever wonders what bits give your what weight saving, then thrown various upgrades into a spreadsheet here. TLDR, trying to go sub 10kg with a 3spd hub is hard and expensive!

No weight saving on FCB, stock ones are 100 grams
-
• #7121
I guess this is theoretical.. vostok fork and triangle wouldnt work in the real world with stock wheel and 3 speed hub.
Brompton ti fork is 285 grams
ti triangle is 461- that would save 574 grams.
- that would save 574 grams.

Indeed theoretical, the weights are mainly from your shop. Which ti triangle is that?
Yep!
