Scored a Romin Evo and a Flite Gel max for £50! Romin evo has replaced the SLR xp. So far so good for my wide ass.

This has happened, so the Caad 4 Saeco is up for sale, frame/ forks/ CK headset and BB

Stripped down and a little progress in swapping the SRAM force over from the USA.
The stem is already slightly annoying, might have to find something a little chunkier
Kept the hidden bolt sram chainrings, can’t see an issue with using them on the hollowgrams, apart from the weird pin position

Very nice.
How much does a System Six like that cost these days?

V tempting, altough I'm wondering if there is another chunky carbon stem that could be used.
-
• #34
Picked it up for £450 on FB, which is a bargain imo

Smashed it together this avo, poss needs the BB and HS looked at but that's easy.
Little longer than the CAAD 4, so an 80mm stem might be in order, the system six one or another crabon, can't decide.
Weighs in at 7.5kg, which is not bad.

Looks good. I’d get an inline post, level the saddle, tilt down the bars and bring up the levers. Longer stem, shorter reach bars 💪🏻

Aye, it's not ideal but there is.method to the madness. Bad car accident a few years back mean the reach Has to to be pretty short despite my large ape index...
But for sure an inline and longer stem would work in tandem. Bar wise those are 70mm reach, so pretty much as short as can be.
Saddle angle is from @jammy bike fit, so we'll see how it goes.
Of course the completist in me is already looking at USE carbon seatposts and systemsix stems....

USE Alien Carbon seatpost on the way, 10mm less set back.
-

Silly seatpost is silly.
Graphics are a bit garish, and using the thin seatpost makes me think again about the chunky systemsix stem.

wasn’t the alien post standard issue on some models?

Yeah, that's why I picked it up when I saw it on sale.

Have you used one before? I had one a few years ago and couldn't stop the bastard slipping. I weigh about 68kg for reference. Bike looks great though!
-
• #43
Nope! But we'll see how it goes eh? If it slips it was cheap so it's no Biggie
Btw I click in at 94kg, so this will be a proper test.

I might have just had a dud to be fair!

The only stem which belongs on a Systemsix, good choice. Looks short, 80mm?
-
• #47
I actually have a spare 100mm one if you struggle with this.
-
• #48
Yeah, current is 100mm, reach is too long and might be a tad forward on the saddle, so we’ll see how this goes.
The drop is okay, the reach is where is suffer, lower lumbar fucked from a car crash

Cool, I’ll keep that in mind. Ta

New hoops!
A-Force AL33 laced to Bitex, lovely.
Also upped to a King headset and Zipp SL stem.
