Screwed up.
have spent an hour spannering to raise my bars to help my neck. Put it all back together and my di2 doesn't work.
I think I've pulled the wire out in the internal junction box. It's been 4 years since I've seen that thing, and I know it's a pig to get to. When I get the right sized Allen key, I can start on a self inflicted job. Shame as was on for 300+ again. -

Getting di2 fixed in bike shop.
Hard to change tempo from rushing every minute to hanging around waiting

Good idea. You can relax while they sort it

My opinion is the Italy way is better. But there is not a huge amount in it

Good to hear others going so well!!
Another relatively short day for me, 230km.
Bettered the 200km minimum I’d set to continue.
Icing the ankles and hopefully a good nights sleep mean I can replicate today, tomorrow.
Then I’ll see if I can build from there.
Hanging on by the skin of my teeth!!
Thanks for all the supportive messages from everyone. -

I'll keep watching as long as your dot keeps moving :)
Keep an eye open for your free cake shortly before the CP3 parcours:

Haha might all be gone by the time I get there. I feel I’m treading a fine line between racing and touring.
Something that I’ve felt more passionately about as this goes on. I’m definitely racing if very slowly, beating a guy to the border earlier was fun. -

230 kms a day would be very serious touring.
Just keep turning the pedals, you're doing brilliantly so far.
Thanks!
I guess the bit from Turin up is a bummer, and I've no idea what traffic in the north of Italy is like. I've ridden along the north-of-the-alps option; it's effectively Swiss national cycle route no. 5 and it means a lot of urban around Zürich and the wind in your face between Neuchatel and Lausanne, but otherwise OK.
Engadin has better scenery, but it's a race.
