Try convoy products. Also a fair bit of change, but all made to a high standard and in low production numbers. You can make your own, there are plans online for various boxes for them, pickup points on douze are out there in .dwg format.

Convoy Products (there is a UK website floating about which hasn't been updated since 1066 but the .de website is good and up to date).

What are my options for a matched pair of 700c/20” bmx size rim in 32h, black (silver eyelets acceptable), and not aero shaped?

Sun/Ringle CR18?

Cr18 or halo will do a pair that look similar enough to “match”

Latest CTC mag has a pic of one of the Rodford Bikes and gives the price as 'from £1,100', which is in line with something like a Workcycles Fr8. It also mentions the racks can be rotated vertically to help storage in a hallway - not sure whether the bars can be turned as well.

Storage challenges is one of the reasons I don't have a front rack on the bike. Would be so handy but would mean the front is too wide to fit in the space I keep my bike

I was wondering how hard it would be to make it so that the cargo area of an Omnium for example could be hinged (90° up left or right, so it's parallel to the frame).

Would that really gain you that much more space than storing it stood on its front end. I'm amazed how little room mine takes up like that. However I now have the extender bar and fenders fitted so I have about 5mm of clearance from the ceiling.
I guess it depends were you've got to store it.

I will check them out - I'd like a new box that rattles less than the AluLock.
(it only rattles as it has been bashed around for 3 years).
EDIT: Just checked their website and they are also 1,000€+VAT+shipping.

Nice welds. Interesting HT angle too.

Does anyone have any pictures of an omnium stored stood up. I can't picture it. Info and interest only, not planning to get one

They’re cool, I like having it and use it a lot. Biggest grievance for me and the main reason I’d still be eyeing up a proper cargo bike is that the load isn’t independent from the steering. Not a huge deal but makes it quite hard to steer with more than 50kg on front

Although it does mean the load doesn’t get bashed by the handlebars when it’s particularly high :)

My experience of riding pinned sun rims in the past (bmx) has not been great.
Halo an option but colour is pretty much black and white with the amount of logos... :(

So far the Sun Big City rim I’m using on the XC (rear, so load bearing 100% of the time) seems fine. Maybe cos it’s such a monster?

New whip...holds 3 kids, or my other half + 2 kids, or 4 kids... or just me and a load of bumph from the shops.

Is that front rack thing proprietary? I would like something like that to attach to the mounts on my downtube, sans childseat.
Sod that!
