nearly 8 and 7
Get a Bullit + something like this and use them as motor

this, or some kind of chariot...
but with children.
note: I am not a parent

that's an interesting place to mount a shock.

That looks like fun although it'll be the full length of my tiny garage, which is already absolutely rammed full of man stuff, including 6 bicycles and a motorbike
Plus longer means there's definitely no chance of getting through the chicane type gate near me. My Big Dummy with the side rails just fits through, literally about an inch spare

As the resident Xtracycle owner, I have ferried >50kg of girlfriend on the back, and the length of the edgerunner is more than ample for three little people. Their insta is full of such photos.
They are also really really hawking their electric ones at the moment.

The Bosch Edgerunner is a treat.

This is the newest large child box for a Bullitt, carries two bigger kids. Larger than that your into the huge cristiana/Nihola tea party trike

• #3110
This is rad, do you know if the larger box is available without seats/where is this from?

This is the newest large child box
..looks indeed quite "boxy", haha!

child box
Never mind cargo bikes, I want these installing at supermarkets, restaurants and the like and their use to become mandatory for anyone who cannot keep their child under about 50db.

I can see all sorts of uses for that big box, so useful for lobbing stuff in for everyday use. However there is absolutely no way that's fitting in my garage, which is really rather pathetically small. I can't actually stand up to full height at the front

Have you considered garage training?

Did you pick yours up in the UK? They're like hens teeth!
I've had both kids on the back of my Big Dummy and that pedals just fine, can't really do much of a hill with them on there though
Electrifying it is definitely a consideration, would make local errands a less sweaty affair! But I also have my eye vaguely on a Tern GSD. They seem to be almost as practical but with a smaller form factor

I did, but it involved a massive detour to the other side of the New Forest down south. It was in very bad used condition and the ebay photos were terrible. I got lucky.
There had been one of the conversion XC’s on ebay a month or so prior that was relisted a couple times.
If you were in Swindon any time you’d be welcome to try out my parts-bin build. No motor but slightly different form to the Surly.
The guy I bought the frame off had bought it from someone else (probably it’s had multiple owners before that too). He’d used a Bafang mid motor on it.
If you have something like a Big Dummy and it fits but it’s tiring, just invest the ~£700 in the mid motor kit and see how you get on first. You can always strip it off again and swap to another bike in the future.

Neither can I in mine yet I manage to fit a motorbike, 7 bicycles, half a dozen or so frame sets, 4 or 5 wheelsets, umpteen boxes of parts (bicycle and motorcycle) a workbench, a workstand and oxy propane brazing kit in mine and have built 3 frames in there.

The conversions come up every now and then on ebay, and Big Dummys come up every now and then second hand. But full xtracycles don't really, which is a shame, as they have some brilliant thinking.
Thanks for the offer, sadly you're quite far from me!
I've thought about a Bafang mid-drive motor conversion but then got scared off when I saw how many then require extra TLC in keeping them running. Still fancy a doing a conversion at some point, just need to find the time to do it. I'm also not sure i'll ride the bike any more, unless I commute to work on it!
So far I'm a big fan of the Big Dummy, has saved a good few local car journeys and has made those quick trips easier as I can park right outside the shop/place

Ha, sounds like a similar set up. Currently have a motorbike, 6 bikes, loads of storage, big workbench with various tools mounted to it, huge red mechanics tool storage unit
If it was twice the size I could easily fill it, it's currently the only sacred place in the house!

When we moved in to the flat I think I was down at about 2 or 3 bikes. Buying a place with a garage was equally the best and worst thing I've done!

Has anyone dealt with Rhino in Berlin?
They make bike boxes for Bullitts / Douze /etc...
https://instagram.com/rhino_berlin
http://www.rhino-berlin.de/I asked for a quote for my Douze and this is what they came back with :-(
The rhino for an 800 Douze V/U2 is 1015€ without VAT,
shipping costs UK (includes handling, packaging and shipping) is 200€ England, 280€ Scotland. That's about £1,200+VAT just for the box which seems a tad steep for (very well engineered) cubic box, when the danish Alulock ones (albeit not bespoke) are around £300+VAT incl. shipping

Christ what an offensive website..
I have 3 kids so Bullitt is out, which is a real shame as I love the way they look. And superb for odd shaped cargo
I've not seen two kids on a Bullitt, only 1 or 1+another small one. My older two are nearly 8 and 7
Mind you, with those two on my Big Dummy there isn't really much load carrying room anyway I suppose!
