  • Is there a link between DAZN and the Athletic?

  • Still, at least with the football season over he has had some time to write about his other passion, cricket.

  • Is that in Private Eye?

  • bit nervous about this weeks charity cup shield trophy, our pre season hasn't gone too well in the last few weeks, someone dribbled past vvd ffs
we aren't looking like the historic septet / septuplet winners this season i was hoping for

  • Transfer business has been so underwhelming so far.

    Get spending ffs.

Having said that, I do look forward to seeing Pogba and Lukaku plodding around with zero motivation for another season.

  • surprised some mid table teams ain't going for Cahill on a free good experienced defender and a whole hearted player how brings the team together he was v popular arround the club at Chelsea

  • Except with the managers, seemingly

  • Our new 3rd kit is... challenging...

    I quite like it.

Thoughts on the new season Tim? I went on our Pre season glamour 'Hills have eyes tour' to scunthorpe, rotherham and at home to Bournemouth and am left thinking 7th or 8th. Saw plenty to be happy about and hoping we are building the squad properly this time.

  • I might buy one. I reckon it’ll be a rarity in years to come.

I haven’t seen a single minute of us since the last day of the season but we’ve definitely had more talent leave than join which worries me.

We need a couple of strong signings up front before I’m even remotely thinking of the playoffs.

    Chapeau on making the games.

I’ve got a spare ticket for a couple of early fixtures if you’re interested...

  • Missed this before , a big old long read from NYT magazine in May for @chalfie about Liverpool's data analysis team

    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/22/magazine/soccer-data-liverpool.html

  • might very well be interested. just let me know which ones in advance fella. Would be great to catch up and fill you in on my youtube channel ideas.

From what I saw the new players are ok. Krovinovic is by far are best player and we really need to get this guy in permanently right away because he will have a good season and others will start sniffing around.
Was really impressed with the young players which is exciting and absolutely necessary seeing how we wont be buying in many more.
At times we were laborious and then we would have spells of really fast flowing attacking football. It's going to be a hard season not least because there are lots of teams equal if not better than us so I just hope the fans don't get shitty early on.

  • A big old long good read.
    Thanks.
    Enjoyed that

  • At times we were laborious and then we would have spells of really fast flowing attacking football.

That basically sums up the entire of last season.

I’ve currently got a spare ticket for:

    Millwall - August 10th
    Reading - August 21st
    Huddersfield- September 21st

  • i'll take reading and huddersfield if that ok. Millwall are a bit 'ard

  • Less than a week to go until the new season, is the official video livestream worth £12.50 a month? (BBC Radio Derby commentary over a live video feed of the game, inc. 3pm Saturday Kickoff)

Or do I try and get dodgy streams with little to no audio again for free?

  • @Jaw what was that dongle thing you got for football?

I generally use streams using ace stream links but now the reddit page has gone it's harder to get a list of good streams.

  • Problem with stream sites is they focus on the big four Premier League teams so if you don’t support City, Utd, Spurs or Liverpool its hard to find a stream. When you support a Championship club, even one as mighty as the Rams, getting a stream is a challenge. Hence wondering about using my not in the UK status to watch the official stream.

  • Interesting. A fair few assumptions and inaccuracies aside.

If a salary cap ever came in place than these guys would really start to earn more recognition.

  • I’ve got a Amazon Fire with Kodi. Still works a treat in general.

  • 12.50 aint to bad as long as the quality of the stream is good any idea from other exiled Rams how good it is. ?

  • I watched the Reading one a couple of times when overseas, just paying a one-off charge. The quality of the picture was fine but there was only one camera, no replays and no commentary (just crowd noise) (maybe a benefit). It was fine but a limited product, they may have improved it now

  • Sure.

@jonny up for either of those games? I can see if we can pick up another ticket.
