Honestly, if you can't afford multiple helmets, just buy one good normal one with the appropriate features for your riding.

I was tempted to say this, as long as it's not too angular/aggressive I think it will work. Even having a solid retro colour could help (Joey Dunlop yellow)? When I see neo-retro bikes with a painfully try-hard helmet, with matching yellow bubble visor it makes me cringe a little. Bear in mind this is coming from a rider who waxes lyrically about having an Italian bike because it has ‘soul’ and ‘character’.

In the never ending odyssey that is me trying to decide on what helmet to buy (I'm sorry...) I'm actually starting to think a fashion helmet isn't a great idea for my only helmet (for now) and that I should probably consider something more practical for our moist, soggy climes.
I also don't want to buy a racey helmet because it'll look stupid on my 250cc grasstracker/ retro scrambler.
Anyone have any experience of Bell MX-9 Adventure MIPS?
