I usually get 1000-1200 miles out of a chain and sprockets on a 2 speed. When it's too far gone the chain is quite loose on the chainset and can sometimes fall off during the fold.

Saw some smart new Conti tyres for Brompton the other day. Not too heavy casing, 35mm, reflective strip. Half way between a Kojak and a Marathon / more towards the Kojak if anything. Out fairly soon I hope.

£50 a pop... we are literally getting a handful so be quick or preorder with me.
-
• #7012
Bloody hell, that's like top end money for normal road tyres.

Always replace chain and sprocket even if it’s not that worn.

• #7014
Are the tyres UK only? Or do you think some would be available in France? Am going there for a few weeks so was wondering if I can be nice to hoke and profit from the hipsters ;)

Because I'm a bit sad I hunted down the designer of the 2018 BWC artwork who gave me permission to get it printed. I have two spare, would anybody like one?

Stock are 170mm,
Worthwhile...
Lighter such as litepro = a bit cheese etc.
DA etc are “nicer” stiffer but not lighter.. I honestly just like the stock cranks with a different bb and chainring. Simple, stuff and light enough!

Sorry for all the questions,
What’s the recomemded Brompton bb?
And what’s the recomended chainring or is it a common bcd (guessing not).Do I have to get 170 or will 165 fold ok?
Also, do you ever personally get hold of ti rear triangles/ forks?
Cheers

68x119, un55 118mm works fine. Ti parts for weight saving. £120 though!
165 or 175 would work fine!
130bcd 5 bolt, any single ring works, Brompton do 44/50/54, smallest you can fit is 39t - shimano or thorn do ones to suit.Biggest is 58, 60t hits the chainstay but you just use a 122mm bb
Yes and no, if I have reason to I can get them

Anyone looking for some P bars? I just swapped mine out and they’re going spare.
If anyone’s interested, swapped them for (older) M bars and no need to change cables or anything (2015 model).

Say there's a 2019 H6L I like in my LBS
Would replacing the bars with mid-rise/flat bars work, or does the H stem have less of a forward position?
It's difficult to find info on this.

Why not just buy the right bike?
Ie. An M or S type?
Those are all pre built customs on sjs, except the Brompton ones.
Email ryan@sjscycles.com, we take PayPal, I can send you a direct invoice...
Those bars would work, but they are fucking huge... so unless old m type then you will have super high bars!
What stem you got?
—- didn’t really read what you said...
I’d go for a mid rise bar, or those ones offered would be ideal.
