Ah shit I was hoping to come to this but have been offline away for the last 2 weeks. Can't make next weekend unfortunately but I'll keep a (closer) eye out for the next one
Enjoy. Excited for the write up (please) -

Bivi only used a couple of times and mat is brand spankers, wouldn't mind a beer if someone does take them.

come for just saturday if you don't want to camp? some nice riding and you can get train home from goring/streatley
-
• #109
I'm in Reading so no trains needed :)

Thanks for the offer mate, unfortunately I’m not down in London long enough to collect it before hand so i’ll have to tent it unless someone’s coming and willing to bring it to Paddington for the train (although that probably makes packing issues on both sides)

Can we start a petition for Birkenstock to make some SPD Birks?
-
• #117
With a carbon midsole
-
• #118
Surely we have a Birkenstock marketing manager frequenting the forum?
-
• #119
The way the nights are at the moment, I’m considering not taking a sleeping bag since I’m tenting. Is this a silly idea?
-
• #120
The worst that can happen is that you experience the true meaning of the ‘nicest forum on the internet’ if it gets properly cold.
-
• #121
Yes, surely you should be taking a sleeping bag and no tent?
-
• #122
I see your point but I think it’ll be too hot for the only bag I’ve got and therefore I’ll just end up sleeping on the floor and I’d rather not get bitten, also have somewhere private to change my pants :)
-
• #124
Ideal, that’ll do nicely. Cheers bossman

Apologies for the late response, I was hoping to make the camping at least but my injury isn't going to allow it.
Have a great time all!
All this talk of bivi's is really making me want to try one out (especially as it'd save me bringing a whole tent down to London with me). who's spare isn't spoken for still? would it be colder in a bivvy than a tent in general?
