Agreed. My theory was by the time he saw the Police by the side of the road he was 5 over, but they caught him way further up.
@Jung He was on a week old R1 and having far too much fun to realise where he really was.
My point was the amount over the speeding. Speed all you want, you'll get nabbed ones day.
It was the colossal amount of money that floored me.
I've yet to hit up Italy. Mugello beckons!

I find the cultural side of this fascinating. By and large, the Swiss support their tough speed laws and the way they are enforced. Culturally, for a Swiss, there is no such thing as unfair policing if you're caught speeding.
Similarly, support for the means tested fine structure is widespread.
A very different attitude to that of UK drivers and speeding where you often hear people complain that a mobile gun was hidden etc.
In Switzerland it is also illegal to have a satnav that warns you about speed cameras. Their genuine national vibe on speeding, is that you deserve everything you get if you do it.
6000 is entirely possible, it just means that he was speeding by a lot more than 5kmh and 20 days of his previous year day rate equalled 6k. If he was Swiss, he would have lost his license too.
