I have no idea what you're talking about.
It connected to her RWGPS account but not Strava for some reason.

• #454
How come you know it's not connected?

Your image shows a linked account. Before that, click Strava and it takes you to a Strava sign-in page. Using credentials we already know are correct, it doesn't allow sign-in and so the Wahoo never gets to talk to Strava. RWGPS worked. The problem could be with Strava but she can login just fine on her laptop so it appears the problem is with Wahoo's use of the Strava login page.

Does your Strava-account work on her Wahuuu?

She's just tried it again and it seems to have gone a step further so we're in business it seems.

Have a Wahoo in the house now.
First fail - it couldn't handle my >30 char wifi password, or some char within it.
You don't have a Ubiquiti do you @hippy ?
My Elemnt point blank refuses to connect to my @Velocio recommended Ubiquiti UAP-AC-LITE access point, which is annoying as everything else (about 15 things in our flat) connects to it nae bother.
If anyone's got any ideas on how to make them work together that would be nice. At the moment I have to update the firmware my making a hotspot with my phone which isn't an issue but I wonder why it's only the Wahoo that has an issue.

I have a Ubiquiti Networks UAP-AC-LR and my Wahoo works fine with it. Have you got the 2.4GHz band turned on and using channels between 1-9?
-

Ubiquiti
Nope.
-
• #461
Ah - no I had it on channel 13 for some reason. Changed it to auto and now it works fine. Thanks!

I'd try contacting their customer service. I bought mine on Wiggle & contacted Wahoo directly & they sorted out a replacement when the button seal came off the side. Just needed proof of purchase.
Edit: read this as seven minutes ago, rather than seven months ago. D'oh. Hope you got your issue resolved anyway.

Read a few pages and can't see this info...
I've just got a Bolt, do I need to buy the frigging speed sensor too? Or is it all done by magic?
-
• #464
no, it's done by magic (aka GPS).
-
• #465
Sweet, thanks.
(I guess I'm gonna need it if I want to do the zwift link magic though, right?)
-
• #466
i have no idea what zwift is.
i occasionally think about getting a speed sensor when riding under tree canopies for an extended time but so far i've not bothered.

Yep, you need some way to measure speed. That may be through a speed sensor, a smart turbo trainer, etc.

Cheers. I wish I'd never opened this rabbit hole of purchases. But hoping my Elite Direto is smart enough to do shit on its own paired up with Zwift, Wahoo Bolt and an Ant+ dongle.
F knows. I'm just gonna turn everything on and hope for the best.

Just took a look at that turbo, and I'm pretty confident it'll have everything you need
It won't connect to gf's Strava either.
