  • how is the gate count?

  • Please book

Isn't it just an off-peak return?

  • I will be taking these trains:
    Waterloo 08:20 - Reading 09:40
    Reading 18:24 - Waterloo 19:48

  • Does anyone have an extra full framebag I could borrow for my mtb for this?

  • I'll see you at Clapham Junction.

  • It's probably not the right fit and not a full bag but I have one of these:
    https://www.pro-bikegear.com/global/en-gb/accessories/Saddle_Bags/PRO_BA_DISCOVERFRAMEBAG

That you or anyone else is welcome to borrow

  • Won't be needing my Revelate Ranger Large. Can meet somewhere in SE London

  • I think this would be perfect. How deep is it on the seat tube end?
And length along the top I suppose would be useful

  • Thanks for the offer dude. I’ll see if Yakut’s revelate works for me. I have a top tube frame bag myself but wanted to make use of the space below

  • No other option for me – I'll be on the cross bike or Straggler if I'm lucky.

Oh and I've just booked the train.

  • Boom, will get the London side trains booked. Also could be interested in riding back to London after time dependent. Might need to be a dirtbag and use somebody else's stove as I left mine in Tasmania.

  • Yeah was gonna ask what’s the deal with camping and also eating?
Apologies if it’s been discussed and I’ve missed it.
I’m assuming we’ll be camping fairly quiet so how likely is it that I can buy some food rather than cooking?

  • There’s a mini-mart thing in Peppard Common (couple of miles down from Kingwood) that’s open ‘til 6.30 on Saturday but other than that, it’s Coop in Sonning Common that’s there until 10pm (assuming you’re not foraging :)
    Or pub. Obviously.

  • That’ll have to do, I don’t have a stove to bring and wouldn’t want to carry extra crap anyway.

  • Tru, there's a strong argument for not cooking, and means more space for snacks.

  • I love snacks

  • We had a massive camp fire last time. I'll be bringing some tofu sausages just in case.

  • I think I'm in please, with my gf, if it doesn't make the group too massive? We may need to bail out earlyish on the Sunday route but we can sort that. Will keep an eye on likely cooking or not plans, I have a stove if needed.

  • am interested, but dependent on sourcing a replacement bike, not sure if thats doable in 10 days.

  • Camp fire sounds like my kinda cooking option

  • I am in potentially - let's see if I can pack the minimum required gear in to my beloved Barley bag.

  • Camping - wild camp roughly half way round, in mixed woodland

Eating - I prefer to make my own food, it's more fun and cheaper. but if people want to stop and eat at pubs or whatever I am ok with that too. there's plentiful resupply options all way round.

And as pit said we will definitely have a campfire, please could people bring firelighters etc
