A lot of riders got caught out by a roundabout, those who went one side kept their position, those who chose the other side found it was longer and lost forty places.

Madness. This race is brilliant so far but a shame to see hopes of some riders go down the pan today.
Wonder if 10 days of racing on the bounce meant concentration had wandered a bit when it split today.
