  • When Farage was in charge UKIP were a serious political force, I believe they were the reason why Cameron held the Euro Referendum. Yes right wing and yes some pretty nasty policies and members to boot.

    Gerard Batten, becoming leader after a shambolic period took them to in a new step change Alt Right direction, Islamaphobic, supporting Tommy Robinson / Stephen Yaxley-Lennon etc. They are now more like the BNP.

    I am very glad they were rejected at the Euro elections and Batten has resigned. I expect UKIP to cease to exist in any meaningful was soon. Compare that with the fortunes of the Brexit Party, with many of the same policies ( that I dislike) is my point.
