Has anyone used ride Farr kit?
These look like a nice mini aero bars for longer rides with flat sections:https://ridefarr.com/product/handlebar-carbon-farr-aero-bolt-on/

"Aero MTB or Comfort Gravel"
What a time to be alive

The best of times! 90s XC MTBs with drop bars and extra short travel suspension marketed as the holy Grail of cycling. I love living in the future.

This plus tyre thing is quite fun.

Must confess to still being tempted by a Stooge Mk 4 but it's:
- quite ugly
- has a short ST.

quite ugly
quite an understatement.

There's a purple Stooge Speedball listed on singletrackworld for £400. Looks a little less ugly.

Not a truss fork tho

The ugliness adds to the fun. You can't take yourself of your riding too seriously when your bike looks like that.

I dunno, dark clothing, full beard and tats are mandatory for such a rig
-

my wife just bought one. Clearly I should have a word with her about the lack of beard :)

can you not just buy a new cage for that?
doubt you'll get a warrenty -

Not finished setting it up yet, thinking it’ll get some gears at the back and different bars/stem/etc. Bouncy sit-down bike is bouncy.
Oh and the Giant Acid frame is officially for sells. Would let the frame and forks go for £100? Currently in the process of stripping down all the parts from it, barely a week after fitting black cable ties too :(

Also, I have no idea what I’m doing. I grabbed this too though, in case it was worth saving. No idea what that awful logo translates to in ascii.

I bought XTR - fitted today... The Shimano switch was planned at some point. Now just slightly accelerated. I now only have the wheels & cranks left of the original bike!
Well it's gone in under warranty. The weld has let go, which caused a catastrophic loss of chain tension. The cage was eaten by the cassette so all bent. You can see the thread is still on the bolt.
No reason for it to happen other than a defect. I simply shifted up a gear whilst cycling down a nice gradient and it ended like this... Jockey is MIA in the bush. We'll see what SRAM come back with. -

Ah the weld going is a bit different.
Xtr nice!

I've been thinking about getting a new MTB type floor pump, as it's tricky to judge low pressures on a gauge that goes up to 160psi. Have a Joe Blow which has lasted for over 10 years, so was looking at their mountain model.
Is there a go-to MTB track pump that everyone uses?

• #14124
I had a Joe Blow Max, which I believe is their high-volume equivalent. Did the job.

Joe Blow booster here. Perfect for setting up tubeless tyres.
Interested in the wheelset too. Are these boost? What's the rim width?
