I wonder if that's the same German guy with the support van, err, I mean lovely wife also on tour? ;)
This is a great route. Best done with more time :)

That's the eternal problem. Lots of race routes are like that, but I know that I'm unlikely to go and do them at a leisurely pace, so it is race them or nothing!

Sounds good to me then! Have you spotted any good gravel high mountain road you wanted to steer into?
Good going mate! -

Trying to avoid gravel until TCR

Apparently the best passes and cols on the Pyrenees are all offroad..

Can't be hippy. Those cows are un-eaten.

How nature can allow such good looks to exist is beyond me.

Do you still have/use Redshift post?
-
• #112
Have but don't use. Because knees. Didn't work for me - does for some people.
-
• #114
Wanna sell it?
-
• #115
Yeah, that's why it's on my radar again.

Yes

So, how was it @hippy @FourGreenFields ? Would you recommend?
-
• #118
Message me the details and I'll get onto you when I get back.
-
• #119
Yeah, it was great. Hard climbing so much but rewarding views and descents. Not much traffic, decent weather, all good.
-
• #120
Did you ever wish for a lower gear ?
-
• #121
I was in the 34*40 a lot and wouldn't have complained about having the 11-42T cassette instead.
-
• #122
Bloody well done - another fantastic ride inspiring the rest of us.
-
• #123
Cheers. I can highly recommend this route. I can also highly recommend big fucking MTB cassettes :)

My new 11-42 was probably overkill for Richmond Park this morning, but it was nice to know it was there. I popped it into bottom gear going up Dark Hill just to test it. It made it pretty easy but I probably won't be ranking very high on Strava.

Congrats my good man. Madness to have done it in that weather. Salut!
Under audax rules he would be dq and told to come back tomorrow.
