Tried out an alternative route home tonight, along the tow path instead of the roads. Hoping to find a route that is child-carrying friendly for on my cargo bike. Too many gates to get through, unfortunately, but it was a stunning ride. Mostly rough gravel paths with a few bits of off road.
I’ll do it again, just not on a 35 year old Russian track bike with 20c tyres.
