The ramparts 38s turned up and measure 40 mm on a stayer 23 mm rim . Fitting was easier than the conti 5000 tlr held air straight away even though i put the first on backwards . Yes they are directional plus they look rather robust in taiwanese construction.

What’s the damage ?

Interesting, so you feel the light and supple are still pretty robust?
How tacky/ grippy does the rubber feel in comparison to other tyres like the pave say?
Are initial impressions positive?

Out of the box they do feel tacky and more supple than the file tread gravel kings or pave 27s but for 55 quid each i hope they last twice as long and dont pick up flints like the strada bianchi s. They would be great for roubaix and roll better than g ones.

Is anyone running WTB Exposures? Looking for a tan-wall wide road tyre with occasional gravel. Gravel kings seem to be the cheapest, decent option, but hear that they wear fairly quickly. G-Ones look nice but pricey...
