I got to have a go on one of those a couple weeks back, it's even uglier irl and the "compliance" just makes it feel really flexy.
would not bang

also the downtube is fucking massive and makes it look like you're riding an ebike

Those Lockr pivots are fucking bastards too.
-

Nevermind all that. What the fuck's up with the logo? Why get of rid of the wonky hideousness on the downtube and replace with with that microscopic abomination.

Did it make you feel faster?

I think it's the carbon Topstone, not the CAAD13 as previously suggested?

I really wanted to love it, but the paintjobs are just so bad
-
• #11468
None of the reviewers so far has commented on the looks, which speaks volumes.
On the other hand, Cannondale on record as saying it saves 8w over the Tarmac and 40w over the Emonda is pretty bold.

watt claims are always a bit of a pisstake aren't they ? anyway rear end looks like a santa cruz mtb

Even b'Twin have a better paintjob, but I'm more flummoxed by the what looks like, an offset undersized decal as if someone tried to brand it as a Cannondale.

Tom Southam has been riding one of the new SuperSix frames here in Bristol for a while now.... he comes on DRK Tuesday morning rides pretty regularly when he’s not on EF DS duties.
I think it’s an inevitable move away from the traditional frame shape of the old SuperSix’s TBF.... yeah, I’m sure Cannondale will lose some customers who like the oldschool silhouette they’ve stuck with up until now, but I doubt they really care, as the new customers they will be getting with the new direction will massively out weigh the die hard horizontal TT or GTFO crowd.
At least there will be a wave of second hand old style supersixes hitting eBay after the new one hits the market, huh!
Personally, I dig the new shape... but I’m a strong advocate of evolution! (Apart from the current trend of overly complicated ugly aero bikes.... they can fuck right off)
I think the new direction Cannondale is going is long over due TBH.

Has he shared any opinion on that FSA group?
The bike looks a lot better in plain white.
Too bad the HiMod version is disc only. -

Modern race bikes seem to be a bit gopping in general.
Paint doesn’t do these any favours. Would be moderately banging in a sick fade with a massive Cannondale logo on the DT.

overly complicated ugly aero bikes
Guilty. I’ve got the new SystemSix and it’s rapid. On the flat 90km loop I do round here, I was about 1.5kph faster this morning off a ride I did last year with the same NP.
How much is the wheels (last year was on normal section rims) and how much is the frame? Was the wind a factor?
I don’t know but it feels fast.
I love old bikes but I also like going really fast at times. Thankfully there’s room for both.

Dont you paint/ride steel frames? ;)
