Fusion is nice, but unless you are very experienced with stress analysis in CAD I'd leave it alone. It is much easier getting something wrong than getting something right, unless you know excactly what you're doing.
If you're used to woodworking, you probably already have a good idea about what'll hold and what won't.
There's just so many little aspects that influence the result of your simulation - better to do some full scale models or just over engineer whereever possible.
