So that hasnt really gone to plan.. The axle threads aren't cut down the axle enough to space the disc wheel properly. The axle would be for a normal spoked hub but since the disc is double sided, road and fixed, the cones can't sit close enough on the road side..

Okay, gonna try and revive this thread for the summer.
Got a few things Im thinking about upgrading, brake, fork, tape, saddle etc.- Look into some period aero brake calipers, Modolo Kronos, Weinmann Delta, Campagnolo Delta in grey too maybe?
- Search for a Mavic CXP25 rear wheel and a Mavic track hub to match
- Pick up a 15t Campagnolo track cog in black
- Also have the idea to replace the fork with something more hhsttb, Argos Aero fork or Columbus Max? New set of forks from argos are £195
Its currently in this state -
and here with a faux argos fork -
Opinions welcome!

As much as I love the disc I think a rear cxp25 would compliment very nicely!

Nice score! A starfish would be a nice match for those wheels :)

Cliff Shrubb is pretty much finished, rear disc axle finally converted to track and currently sporting double discs while I find a Mavic track hub in 28h for the 700c Mavic CXP rim I have. When that appears I will switch out the cockpit for the Mavic Pursuit bars and extensions. Thanks again Erik for the photos -
Another for the 'gram -

Got lucky on ebay the other day..
After about a years searching I finally found a Mavic 28H track hub to pair up with the Cxp 25 rim I found last summer. Gonna get it laced up in august for my birthday and need to work out how to lace it up with bladed spokes to match the front.@gaston how are the cxp25's normally laced with bladed spokes? I think I've seen straight on ds and pattern on the nds somewhere.

Nearly a year on and I finally got my Mavic CXP25 rim laced to a Mavic 520 track hub to match the front 26" wheel. Took me a while to get the hub slotted for bladed spokes.. but realised after a bit of research that it doesn't take that long with some elbow grease and a escapement file. Heres a quick snap of my assistant holding the frame sporting its new shoes.. -
Since this photo was taken I have moved the lever up a touch as the reach was quite far. Also want to ideally switch to the Mavic pursuits and aero bars at some point next week for a proper photoshoot/test ride.

Good job on the wheels. Benotto brown tape to finish perhaps?

Coronation Virus Quarantine Update -
Stuck indoors for the foreseeable future, heres a list of stuff I wanna upgrade or do to this. Mario Vaz is currently painting an argos fork in benotto gold so looking forward to when that is finished to install on this.
- Take photos of full Mavic set up
- Fit Campag Monoplaner brake to ITM Crono cockpit
- Polish Popes hat
- Replace Campag BB for Royce TI
- Maybe replace headset for C Record version, prob not worth it though
- Wait for quarantine to stop in Italy so I can import some of the pink Ambrosio Grade tape above
Maybe also thinking to change the fluted seatpost to an aero one and also fit a Turbomatic 2 saddle as the Volare will need a new skin of fabric soon. I would love one of those ridic plastic aero saddle things that idiots sell for way too much on the internet, for this but prob not gonna happen.
Anyone wanna chip in some thoughts/opinions?

That really is eye wateringly pretty. Turbomatic saddle would match the rim graphics nicely but yes plastic Selle potty would also be amazing. These guys might be able to hook you up with tape https://www.steel-vintage.com/ambrosio-grade-nos-handlebar-tape-detail
Why are you changing the fork?

Keep the round fork! Look much nicer and Cliff never liked bladed steel forks anyway.
Izumi supertoughness chain in black and gold?
Really nice build thumb

Thanks guv. Thats what I'm trying to go for, nice look but also not mad out of place or too modern. I think the pink to dark purple would be the most aesthetically pleasing but have also been tempted by yellow to white.
I love the original fork but I got an argos one cheap and in the right size so thought it could look alright. Committed already to getting it repainted so worth a punt at least.

I love the OG round fork but think it could do with spicing up a bit. It was either that or a Columbus max/air fork. Did you know Cliff?
I'm thinking this one -
That makes sense. Its not as aesthetically pleasing but will do for now
