I was wondering today where De Ligt goes salary wise from €340k a week if he takes the PSG offer. Does he end up like bale, surplus to requirements on a wage no one can pay. Pretty sure whatever amount he gets over €100k will be a massive uplift over his current pay.

Well he can probably retire comfortably at the age of 21, just like Joe Cole did.

I doubt he will be surplus to requirements, he'll likely give PSG some much needed backbone. It's a matter of whether he's happy playing in one of Europe's lesser leagues, while millions watch the Premiership and La Liga, I'd be surprised if many people outside France watch it it or even follow it very closely.

Bilic didn’t have it easy at West Ham, Sullivan was always meddling with any transfers which always meant one hand was tied behind his back.
His first season we finished 7th but it’s fair to say a fair whack of that was down to Payet.
His 2nd where he was the first season at the new stadium where many would have struggled I believe.
Anyway, many Irons still hold him in high regard and I’d like to see him get a fair crack of the whip with the board behind him, so I wish him well at WBA*.

*If he signs Byram to take him off our books that’d be grand.
**Sign Oxford too as I’d love to see how capable he is in the English game rather than disappearing to Germany.
