  • Black. I do like the Max Bills but they just look so fragile.

  • Those are Junghans Meister, not Max Bill.

You aren't wrong though, just had my Max Bill repaired for the third time due to accidental damage...to the pushers.

These Meisters have had the acrylic swapped out for sapphire. I'm probably going to go for Black.

  • I like the grey - they both look mint though

  • Grey is more versatile i guess...

    Both are great.

  • Take both you baller!

  • Gah, the one I ordered is grey with a German date wheel but if I don't want to wait I could have a grey one with English date today. Gnnnngh!

  • Why do you want it in German?

  • I don't understand...!?

You want a german date wheel? If not, surely this is great news.

  • I just prefer German date wheels on a German watch and was an option when I asked for Junghans to swap out the crystal for me. I know it doesn't make sense really but I've always tries to make sure I have Japanese date wheels on Japanese made watches if possible. Just a thing that I do.

  • I'm probably planning on some form of Junghans for my next watch, any suggestions for places other than Alsal (unless Alsal stock the full range) in London that stock them as I'd like to do some trying on.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions for other watches that fit the criteria: around a grand or under, slim (preferably <10mm), 40mm+-2mm, dressy, established brand then they'll be gratefully received.

  • Go for a manual Junghans Meister! 38.7mm, thin as fuck, you can get them for less than a grand if you shop around.

  • I love this forum sometimes. Thanks- it corroborates what my searches have brought up thus far. I'll continue to hunt.

  • So Black Bay Blue turned up .
A few scuffs but nothing more than from being lightly worn for a week.
    Warranty activated 22/2/ 2019 .
    £500 off list .

  • In the spirit of following my new one in one out rule, is there any forum interest in these two watches? The Steinhart has a bracelet too.

  • Love the photo skill of the keyboard in focus!

  • What size is the Steinhart?

  • Is the steinhart 39mm or 42mm?

  • 42mm. Which is weird because it doesn't feel that big but my calipers don't lie...

  • Shame. Gnomon do a 39mm version which I'd definitely take off of you but the 42mm ones look daft on me...

  • I'll put them both on eBay on Monday if no interest here. Might also sell a 007.

  • I did that on purpose , glad you like it.

  • Gah, so much want

  • <3 the cocktail time

  • Really like the Presage - thought you loved that one @Stonehedge ?

  • I do really like it but find myself wearing my Longines Quad Retrograde, Eterna Heritage or Max Bill when I need something dressier. With my new gold Meister, it's going to be even lower on the list.

It's a lovely watch for sure, it's just that I have lovelier.
