Biased (purely as brother works there) but great setting and afternoon tea nonetheless!

Does anyone have a favourite US based alternative to Screwfix (i.e. general hardware monger)?
Depends on which region you're in. I always preferred Ace Hardware when available, smaller shops and cooperatively owned.

Best free shopping list apps for iPhone? Basically just want a working list of regular items I can delete from/add to easily and cross stuff out as I go.
Anylist!! You can categorise, make as many lists as you want and most importantly your other half can make the list and it’s sync’d instantly.

Does anyone here use Velosocks or similar? How easy are they actually to get on and off? Would like something to avoid marking the walls in my flat when I hang the bike up but it's my commuter so if they're a hassle to get on and off there isn't much point.
Also, does anywhere sell them in lighter colours (but not orange)? Any recommendations for other makes to look at? Cheers

I have just booked a table for afternoon tea at the Amba Hotel Charing Cross, £70 for 4 with a glass of bubbly each, so not bad. Reviews ain't bad and it's a spot that can't be missed so suits my godparents well.
The hotel actually price matched groupon, so less hassle for both parties I guess.
Thanks for all the recommendations. :-)
I just need the weather to be a big nicer tomorrow...

Which style tool is recommended for removing a press-fit bottom bracket (carbon frame)?
There seems to be 2 or 3 different kinds.

Which style tool is recommended
The screw jack type is the safest, e.g. https://www.merlincycles.com/unior-1625-bottom-bracket-removing-tool-113862.html
Anything involving a hammer should be avoided.

Why the question though if you don't mind sharing?

^Yes.

Why the question though if you don't mind sharing?
I just got a sous vide and wanted to do a rib of beef for father's day. Unfortunately the Internet (especially the world of pretentious cooking and "BBQ'ing") is dominated by the US. So finding guides on timing for a traditional English cut is a mission.
-
• #97495
If you're sous vide- ing then timing not so critical though, surely?
-
• #97496
Sounds so good already! I guess you're gonna cook it whole and then slice it up after?

Thank you.
Next question regarding installing a Press-Fit bottom bracket: should I use grease when pressing the new bb in?

should I use grease when pressing the new bb in?
No, press fits should work dry. You only need something between the surfaces if there's a potential problem with galling, which isn't the case with bearings going in to carbon fibre.

How to you take these expander bung off? The top bit (at the bottom of the pic) is unscrewed with an allen key, but what about the bottom part?

I have answered my own question: with a Soviet multi tool. In case you're wondering.
Just in case you are not aware, the sandwiches should generally be unlimited, so don't eat much lunch if you want your money's worth.
