• I don’t work for Isen, so can’t comment. Different people approach the paint process in different ways. I’ve said all I can from a third party point of view, so i’ll leave it at that. I think you’ve aired your grievances publicly pretty thoroughly though, which Is something you’re totally entitled to do (being the internet and all), but I don’t really see what dragging the issue out on this thread any further than what’s already been said is going to achieve to be fair.

I’m sure you will have spoken to Matt/Caren at Isen directly about this, so not sure what continuing to bring the issue up on here will achieve other than borderline trolling to be totally honest with you.

Paint gets chipped. It’s just a fact of life. Sorry if I’m being a bit blunt, I’m just stating my opinion as a third party.

  • I've edited my above post, trolling was not my intention. Just curious as to the different levels of finish and trying to understand things better and figure out what might be the cause of the issue.

  • Sorry, I've only just seen this. Spoke to Fenella, and I think you're coming down with the bike at some point next week for a chat?

I do understand where your coming from, Hoops has spelt it out much better than I could have done, but we are hampered by the paints we can get, and if you come from a far east built bike to something painted with health and safety paint, there is a noticeable difference. We have spent a lot of time trying to get the paint as hardy as possible, and use the highest quality paints we can, epoxy primers and proper keying etc, but there is a limit to the toughness we can acheive.

In regards to leaving the paint to cure, I dont know what they used on that Giant, but we follow the manufacturers specs to the letter, and we also bake them, so there is no requiremnet for us to leave the bikes to harden, so it wont be an issue that your bike was painted the day before.

Going forward, we are going to have a paint protection guide, and are looking at the invisi frame protection stuff, and may also offer that, although I have heard horror stories about it when its removed, so need to do some testing first.
