• Do you know if those are the original hands? I have a very similar watch which was my grandads... I misguidedly let my father-in-law give it to “his watch guy” to fix when I was much younger and less interested in watches.. it came back with different hands (minus the second hand) and ran for approximately a week - now it runs massively fast and stops after a few hours... I keep meaning to get it sorted... I seem to recall the hands being blue before it got butchered.

  • Yes, it should look exactly like Tim’s assuming it is either a 6B/159 or an HS8.

    These seem to be appreciating in value a lot at the moment.

    It is possible to acquire original hands.

  • I dread to think what he did to the movement.
    I’ll keep an eye out for replacement hands and find somebody to take a look at it

    Edit - it’s not the same watch.... any ideas the model no. ?
