  • Hi there. Have you got any turntables around £100-200 at the moment? That Garrard from 2 months ago was nice. Cheers

  • I've got another Garrard in pretty much the same condition but the lid might be scratched. £100 if you like

  • Yamaha AX870 120wpc £180

  • Dazaa, I have a cpl of items I'm trying to shift if you know anyone wanting? Don't want to hijack your thread though! CD and an amp...

  • I wish mate, i'm struggling to sell anything hifi related. Not sure whats happened but nobody seems to want this gear anymore.

  • Sadly because people listen to music/video though Spotify et al....on phones and bluetooth. The good old day are gone and yes there is a revival of sorts but your comments say otherwise. I would love to get a simple hifi with a turntable, Naim amplifiers and matching speakers but 'she who must be obeyed' won't be having it. So I am stuck with CDs on a ratty CD player and music from Youtube with constant adverts interrupting Beethoven or Bruce Springsteen.

  • download adblock!

  • But that ain't the point and you know it.

  • Have you got a full list?

  • Brand new 20th Anniversary Squier P bass, needs strings. Even has bits of the wrapper left on the pick guard and pickups. £130.

  • Hi mate - what have you got in the way of turntables at the moment?

  • Ditto...

  • it seems like who ever is signing off home hifi purchases have the least problems with Naim amps, as they have gone up a lot in price in the last few years

  • Well yes...had mine serviced last year after 25 years' continuous usage. You get what you pay for.

  • Had loads, overrated over priced crap like almost all "british hifi" still have a Unity 2 streaming thing knocking around somewhere, the OLED display died less than 2 years after the guy bought it new for something like £3000. Quality....

  • Are you including Naim or Rega or Quad or Roksan in that?

  • Yep, ive had 3/4 of the Naim shoebox pre/power amp combos. 5 Quad pre and power amps. A modern Rega shoebox size integrated, 3 Roksan Kandy integrated amps, a Roksan top loading CD player, a really fancy Naim CD player and probably more i've forgotten about. None of it excited me one bit.

  • Just my opinion, equally as worthless as everyone elses!

  • But just as valid...hifi is subjective..

I liked Naim amps but never got on with Linn's amps..likewise I preferred a Linn LP12/ Naim Aro to Roksan Xerxes/ Tabriz...we all have our preferences.

  • Hey Dazaa. Is there any chance you have done part ex stuff in the past? I have a couple of bits sat gathering dust I need rid of. I do on the other hand need a nice pair of speakers to make the most of my Technics Amp!

  • True the CD players are probably the worst of Naim's products. Two years after purchase: "I'm sorry sir the laser is made by Philips so we cannot warrant it." No doubt the OLED displays are bought in too. Otherwise the service life is exceptional — basically, you just forget about your hi-fi.

  • Afraid i'm done with taking on anymore gear. Got a pair of Dynaudio Recitals up on Ebay you can have for £320 if you like? Will destroy any sub £1000 speaker but cosmetically theyre abit ugly
