I love it. I have been looking at the A6 version of that exact car. What do you think of it?
Any idea of fuel consumption yet?

Haven't actually collected it yet. They are fixing a few bits before delivery... Kerbed rims etc. But on my 2 hour test drive it was comfortable, even on 19's and fast enough. Certainly enough punch for a family car. The bang and Olufsen sound system is epic. Fuel economy seemed to be reading at 8.5litres per 100 Kay's... Sorry can't convert to MPG in my head! That was with me booting it out of every corner. I'll update as I drive it more.
For a 2015 car it has all the updated tech and the interior still feels new. This particular car has 43000 kilometres on it.

It sounds great. Did you try an A6? I have driven an A4 and found it slightly cramped in the drivers seat - lack of shoulder room.

The Jazz is really spacious with brilliant storage. For eg the back seats can fold away and then there's a dropped section underneath so you can store tall objects.

Tbh I'm really surprised at people suggesting a massive diesel saloon as a sensible solution to short journeys and low running costs.

I've driven my brother in law's A6. I definitely prefer the smaller car. I didn't notice any shoulder room issue. Maybe just surprised by the relatively small back seats. Mostly Felt good though. But my point of reference is a A3 and a Peugeot 306 so the A4 is a step up size wise.

Btw, the 3.0 turbo diesel A6 is a good drive. Has a very smooth "shove"

i want to change my insurance over to me (rather than the enemy) so i can accrue no-claims. how does this effect her no claims?

Thanks! Well, nothing drastic. It’s got a tiny aftermarket steering wheel which is hard work. Going to go back to a bus driver 17” number. The dash wiring and setup is interesting, will upload a few pics later. Seats are not LR and have ugly loose covers but quite comfortable. Might go back to a stock 3-seater bench. Other than that, probably nothing until something inevitably breaks!

Thanks for the info. I have 2.0 tdi A6 at the moment. It’s not good at all. I regret selling the last one. I would like a drive with the new engine to see if it’s better. First gear in my car is too low and sixth is too high.

It seems that way. Whenever any of my non-car friends ask for advice for buying a car, 8 out of 10 times I'll tell them to look at a Jazz as they are all most people would need as an economical, safe, well built everyday car.

I'd think somewhere around £250-£350.

anyone ad a jag sv8 or XF - R, seen nothing but good reviews in the "press" and used buying guides so wonder why not so popular - interior looks amazing....

I completely agree until you look at the civic. We test drove a Jazz and my wife loved it. I didn't feel safe and the steering was really delayed.

The civic is also cavernous.

I’m astounded at how much I can shoehorn into my Civic.

But that is impressive, if maybe the safety is questionable

I think the theme we're seeing here is that Honda make a great product.
