If you want small good quality compact prime lenses, I reckon M43 is the way to go.
Your Canon kit weighed about 1kg, the GX80 (if you like rangefinder style) with 20mm f1.7 is about half that.
With each of the smaller primes weighing around 100-150g, you could carry loads.
Main downside is the slightly lower image quality than full frame and APS-C.
Micro 43 (Olympus and Panasonic) has loads of respected compact lenses.
Loads smaller than most DSLRs.
Lumix 14mm f2.5, 25mm f1.7 and Olympus 45mm f1.8 can be had for about £350-400, with say a Lumix gx80 which can be found for around £250.
20mm f1.7 pancake is the most recommended lens, I prefer the 15mm f1.7 and 25mm f1.7.
