Nicely done chap!
I think that particular lugwork looksexcellent on the smaller frame....

Cheers, I agree, I particularly like the bit at the back of the headtube where the builder (Joe Oliver?) brazed the 2 headtube lugs together.

Also, grease port on the BB is inspired!

Spray is ongoing. Hopefully the silver will be done tomorrow.
Had a quick rummage in the parts bin this eve. And dug out this little number.
It's a peace race rear mech (PWB = Prague Warsaw Berlin). Jockey wheels are seized and it's missing a barrel adjuster & clamp bolt but it seems appropriate for a zakopane...

Indeed - I'll need to get hold of a grease gun to fit
Wish I still had my Pedro's gun from the 90's, it would have been perfect -

Got impatient and fitted some wheels just to see what it'll look like.

It's so low and so slack, obviously made for fat 27" tyres. Mudguard clearance won't be a problem but brake drop might...
Edit: Checked with proposed brakes, the drop is fine

Good work with the paintjob!

Thanks, I've still got a few finishing touches to go before stickers and clearcoat but I'm pretty happy with it so far

From the dry fit I noticed that I'd not got enough thread on the steerer. When I built the Roberts TT rat I got Evans in Woking to cut the thread but they charged£20.
This time round I'm future proofing myself and picked up a 1" X 24tpi tap on eBay NOS for £17.50 posted

So I added an extra 1" of thread to the steerer.
So much die contact. Much heat generated. Cutting fluid essential

Unfortunately I've recently resigned from the firm where this workshop is based - my new job doesn't come with large clear workbenches, all sizes of die-stock, every drill bit and a welding/spraying booth so I'll need to tidy the shed ASAP...

No real progress on the Stallard but I finally got started on tackling the chaos that reigns in my own workshop...
In doing so I discovered just how many ratty and ragged frames I own....

Heaven.
That's a fine example. I look forward to seeing how you get on with it!
