I’ve bought a few shirts and need to start ironing them. I hate it, is there another way? I remember seeing a sales assistant with a steam gun thing in a shop one time, are they any good or should I just buy steam iron and ironing board?

Who makes nice lightweight summer blazer jackets suitable for stylish men about town bromptoning between offices in London’s grimy hot summer?

Get a fuck of steam generator iron that cranks out industrial amounts of steam and a decent ironing board and you'll get through the ironing pretty quick

Alright got any tips on a good one?

Everybody does em, I reckon you need to try on for blazer /sports coat. Ralph and Hackett are always reliable. I was pretty happy with a cheap one I got from uniqlo a few years back.

Not sure tbh. One would hope it's one of those you get what you pay for things so I would just go to John Lewis and buy whatever it's on your range. The main thing is that it can put out huge amounts of scalding steam. I do know they always ducking scale up after a few years if I don't use De ionised water so don't spend too much.

I'd recommend washing them with a low spin and hanging them (or ironing them if possible) damp. Makes it way easier

Haha at 140 eur for a t shirt! It seems to be approaching short sleeve sweater territory which is cool though.

my best experience so far is arket 220 gsm.BTW wtf is wrong with some people putting little stupid useless pockets on t shirts?!

Get a good iron and a good ironing board and enjoy looking after your clothes. As usual, get good kit. I bought the highest rated stuff on amazon that was still sensibly priced and I've been happily ironing for a few years

Gimme links. Do you get amazon to deliver to Sweden?
-
• #3216
Got my stuff while still in the uk, but I order from amazon.co.uk quite frequently. Or at least use it as a reference to check reviews. Can't find the email receipt so not sure what I got. A quick search on amazon says this, so it was prob something along these lines.
Are you in sweden these days? If so, old man tip is to check Råd och Rön for reviews

Cheers for the tips. Yeh still here, way up north really like it now. I order stuff on amazon uk but they don’t deliver all items here. I don’t like using uk electrics with the adapter.

I’d rather have a garment steamer than an iron. Does anyone have one, are they any good?
-
• #3219
I went for a cordless iron which can vertically steam - I think for the home that's the most versatile option but spending a bit more you really notice the difference. Bigger tanks, vertical steaming and a button groove.
Although I tried @aggi wet shirt ironing life hack and it is pretty neat!

Thanks for the tips dudes. Cotton rather than linen I think. Will do some browsing on your recommendations now.

I need to go to an evening thing at a club in a suit and tie .
The most easily accessible suit is charcoal. Which feels close enough to an cocktail/evening suit.
What colour shirt do I wear?
