The box style & folded paper forms don't make for efficient use off the capacity within.
Be much Greener (& easier to count) to get rid of Paper voting forms. Higher chance of rigging outcomes though?

The ballot seemed to be much longer than the ones I've seen recently for GEs, can imagine that its more a case of 2x space needed for vote, rather than 2x votes cast

There's no digital system that's provably 'safe' and not susceptible to manipulation or loss of anonymity.
(The current system makes it very difficult to break the anonymity side of things and, over the years, has resulted in completely insignificant levels of voter fraud.)
