Why odd?
Flexy stem on a light-cargo bike is an odd choice.
I'd be surprised if anyone who rides one would notice. Convenience of a height adjustable stem would, I imagine, trump marginal flex.
Its hardly a performance bike.
I guess it doesn't really matter at the end of the day.
As for adjustability, LvH found a better solution, no doubt more money than Orbea wanted to spend on said bike.
