The plan is do some mid-life touring on it in the year we turn 40 and the extra clearance could come in handy if we decide to go to more exotic/rugged destinations.
Also enough clearance for commuting duties with guards and huge plush tires.
That does look a very sorted geometry and design. Good geo, and decent headtube length. Boost and bolt thru' as well. Id ignore the decals and cope with the slightly more expensive price than alternatives on that basis. The designer is very well respected as well.
Have you given the Singular Swift v2 any thoughts? I have the version 1 (and have added mounts for rack and fenders, so that it's pretty close to v2). I have commuted on mine for a year and am very happy.
If you don't need the extreme tire clearance the Albarda frame is 200 cheaper, still takes up to 2.1/50c tires.
