I think part of the reason that watchmakers aren't always happy to repair quartz movements is that they all seem to have idiosyncrasies and can be a nightmare to fix.
The Omega cal 1375 that Alsal are having trouble with is running ok, it's just that the hour and minute hand are running at the wrong rate. I mean wtaf!

Yea pretty much. He said he’d done one a while back, just cos, and had to order the parts from the US and had no guarantees it would fix the problem, and really didn’t want to be out £80 per part when it didn’t. Probably after that one he said never again.
