  • Not from the reading I've done. I'm running -110 on my i7 laptop happily with no performance impact. Stress testing I did suggested it would happily run at -130 and I walked it back just to ensure it wasn't hindering the processor (which apparently it doesn't do anyway). I got a 10 degree heat difference which has really improved things which is important because this one really likes to thermal throttle.

  • I use Throttlestop. The options on it are a bit baffling but there are loads of undervolt guides which show the elements of the program to use. If you want it to run at startup/login it has to be done through task scheduler but that is easy to do.
