I've had a non-turbo 2006 Forester (2005/6 to 8 have an uprated engine I think) for the past foru years and I like it a lot.

Run this one through the MOT checker and tell me what happens to the mileage between 2006 and 2007 someone?

Mine still has them but they've never worked since we got the car. Trying to decide whether they'd sound good enough to make it worth replacing them.

Yes they're gimmicky but I'd love to have a working set, also think they're one of the only things Chris Harris liked about the cars. The YouTube channel Miata Mods had a good video on diagnosing and sorting them - do report back if you get them working!

Not being an idiot, I've just got my eyes wide open to how unreliable Subaru engines can be if abused.

On a more serious note to old cars. Has anyone driven the new XC40?
I've been told its good and you can put a tow bar on it- which would be handy.
We need a daily driver since I'm going to be spending a lot of time commuting back and forth to Devon this next year.
Torn between this and the VW offerings. Volvo just looks a bit better all round. -

Add the Seat Ateca to the mix. It's basically a Tiguan with sportier handling but cheaper.

Run this one through the MOT checker
That would be the least of my worries, suspension components and mounts would be mine.

Saw this the other day. Nissan Stagea. Never heard of it before but looked spot on.

@jambon @ricky2slicky they always break so people remove them. It's hard to find MX5s with decent condition headrest speakers/

Excellent choice! I'd want some Minilites or MB Racing 10" splits on that instead of Starmags, but other than that I love it. Love the colour.

I think Audi, BMW and any of the fast hatchback firms should do a stripped back version of one of there cars. Much akin to the old Peugeot 205 or 106 Rallye
It needn’t be their fastest/most powerful car in the model. Just make good, fun, usable cars.I know you can get the 695, but they’ve made it less usable by removing the rear seats.
Anyway that’s what I think, but what do I know?

Yeah I can imagine. Need to figure out the eventual route I want to take with mine anyway but I'll need to be in the same country as it first.

thanks, its my fifth mx5 and is by far the best to drive..

Good effort! I'm on my fourth, supposedly a keeper but it's still sitting looking sorry for itself in my garage.

I've accidentally fallen down the rotary wormhole on YouTube, send help.
Brap! Brap! Brap!
-
• #47796
Rotaries are DOPE. No two ways about it.
Turning petrol into power, flames and noise. And probably in that order...
-
• #47797
And 4mpg makes my estate look efficient!
-
• #47798
Rotaries are boss. I've always wanted an RX7 more than any of the other Japanese classics. FD because it's one of the prettiest modern cars of all and FC because Initial D.
I've always felt like they're a lot more elegant than the brutalism of the GTRs and Supras...Obvs just want an MX5 NA with a 13B-REW though...

We were discussing this at work today... What's the best looking JDM car? My vote was FD rx7

Am I being an idiot thinking about buying one? Should I just put my sensible pants on and buy a Skoda/Audi/BMW or something?
