Yeah it certainly was anyway.
I've always bought my hi-fi stuff there, good prices and the staff are good too, probably because they're happier than your average retail drone.
Why can't more people run their businesses like Julian Richer?

Back in the early 90s I spent the best part of a day in the listening room (when they still had one) of the Bloomsbury branch, auditioning amps with speakers before leaving with a pair of Tannoys, a Harman Kardon amp and a Sony 3 head tape deck. All of which are still working today.
ETA - Although fuck knows when was the last time I ran the tape deck.
