  • I wanna buy a B12 supplement for some nerve repair, you guys are smashing those right? Is there a well-known better option?

Sounds like a combo of methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin versions is best:

Most of the edible blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) used for human supplements predominantly contain pseudovitamin B(12), which is inactive in humans.

There's tonnes of brands out there though.

  • Yeah, it's the Vit B6 I think that gives you the radioactive piss. I only want B12 as it's the one that 'may' help speed nerve repair.

  • Vitamin B is water soluble so leaves your system really quickly. Even massively exceeding your RDA isn't harmful unless you really over do it. It's mostly vitamin D and E that you need to be concerned about doing because it's stored in your liver rather than just being pissed out.
It's also worth bearing in mind that the quoted RDA for any vitamin is the minimum you should be consuming rather than the maximum.
This is all knowledge that I've probably half remembered from working at Holland and Barrett years ago though!
