Good to see that the tone deafness when it comes to PR is going to be continued under the new sponsor.

You'd thought with the millions they're throwing at the team the could've used a few quid designing a better kit.
Not saying I like the Total Direct Energie Kit but it's a change from the original Direct Energie. New name, new kit.
Struggle to see any difference with this and looks like it was done on the cheap.

given that a lot of the value ineos might derive from the sponsorship of the team is as a result of their previous success, a visually similar kit isn't all that surprising I don't think. Doesn't mean it's not hideous though!

Sky/Ineos PR is fucking awful: race as Sky in Yorkshire and launch the new kit elsewhere, not the county most at risk from their new sponsor's business.

I don't think it's got anything to do with their PR. My friend's brother is part of the team and apparently Jim 'why the fuck is he a Sir?' Ratcliffe was very keen to rebrand the team ASAP and quite happy to splash a lot of cash doing so. They had to employ a full time person to deal with the logistics of this massive shopping spree and are currently trying to figure out what to do with thousands of pieces of old team kit...

I'm quite surprised they kept the blue stripe. Wonder how Sky are feeling about that.

It's a one-off kit for the Tour of Romandie; teams aren't allowed to change jerseys mid way through a race and Sky become Ineos on the 1st of May. The new team kit will appear at Yorkshire.

Apparently the used kit is worth more than the unused. I find this fact slightly creepy.

Given the Ineos logo, which appears to use a different font for each of the five letters, is anyone really surprised that the kit is hideous?
