Me too, he has been so close all spring, always in the mix and aggressive, then getting beaten, shades of 2014 Sagan. I thought he was going over the top and he would have done if he had grabbed the brakes. I doubt he would have been able to get up must have been 70-80kph.
Goes to show that a committed strong rider with a decent gap is hard to pull back in a group without cohesion. What Fuglsang and Alaphillippe got wrong in Amstel.
